As an artist sometimes we can get to this point. Which tool to use for our artwork; a palette knife or a brush. Lately, I've been thinking about how much time and energy I've devoted to this useless notion. Meaning, that a painter should only use one tool or the other. Who knows who came up with this nonsense, but it sure as hell stops artists from moving forward. Now, when I paint I don't think of what tool to use...it makes no sense! An artist as well as any other professional should use what he/she needs at that moment to get the job done. I leave you with that; next time you are questioning what tool to use - remind yourself that's nonsense, you're a professional and you can use whatever you need in order to create your artwork.
